I came down with a respiratory cold that I was not able to shake on my own before Thanksgiving. I have previous history with Pneumonia and wanted to ensure that experience was not repeated, so I headed to Urgent care. The Dr. put me on a breathing treatment and sent me home with 3 prescriptions. Two weeks later I was not feeling any better, so I returned to Urgent care. This time I was sent home with a prescription for antibiotics. The antibiotics did help, but I had a cough I could not shake, so I made one more trip to urgent care.

Throughout the Holiday season I had been in meetings with Jennifer week after week, where she witnessed my cough that wouldn’t go away and me drinking hot water and taking cough drops one after the other. During one of our meetings Jennifer asked if I would mind if she would put something together for my cough and asked me a few questions about my tastes and the cough itself.

The next time I saw Jennifer she had put together a customized tea, some handmade cough drops, and a chest rub. She gave me specific instructions on how to use the tea and cough drops.

Within a week of drinking the tea and using the cough drops the cough I had for 3 months was starting to subside – it was a miracle! Jennifer checked in with me to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. By the end of the second week, my cough was gone.

I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer for about 7 months.
During this time, she gave me tools to help me develop that had never been offered to me in other professional capacities. She seeks out your weakness in a way that is straight forward but not demeaning and then she helps you figure out how you can overcome those weaknesses yourself, with the skills you already possess or skills that she can help you groom.
With Jennifer I never felt belittled and she always made it about me and how I could get through every situation. She observes behaviors and calls them out, but she never blames or condescends, only builds and offers accountability. I highly recommend you jump at any chance you get to work with this amazing woman.
