Hi! I’m Taylor rae (she/her)

I am the gardener, bushcrafter, wildcrafter, and generally wild woman behind this operation. I'm passionate about natural beekeeping,  DIY projects, community building, teaching, and weaving the magic of ritual into the mundane.

I've built and maintained the organic micro herb farm, treatment-free apiary, and teaching garden here at The Distracted Dandelion, leveraging techniques from permaculture and zero waste living, and learning a ton through trial and error.

I'll be leading classes,  creating blends, sourcing the raw ingredients for our products,  and brewing the magic.

If you're local to the Longview,  WA area,  I also offer hair ceremonies to support and celebrate life transitions (the big chop,  emerging from depressive episode, postpartum, marriage,  divorce,  etc), home haircuts for sensory sensitive folks,  and short and long cuts in my salon.  Scheduling info can be found at https://taylordaines.glossgenius.com/services.

If you'd like to learn more about my process or my commitment to plants, earth, and community, please follow me on IG @earthismymedicine__.

Hi! I’m Jennifer (she/her).

I am the clinical practioner, chef, adventurer, and general business magician behind this operation. I'm passionate about personal and professional development, nervous system health, and finding opportunities in our obstacles.

I've built and maintained the apothecary and peer coaching practice here at The Distracted Dandelion, pulling from my extensive experience in corporate leadership and clinical herbalist training.

I'll be offering 1-on-1 and group coaching, teaching classes, creating custom blends, and sharing accessible lifestyle and nutrition tips through social media and our blog.

I come to this work after an intense journey of self-discovery and community building that has resulted in a life beyond the domestic violence, homelessness, dead-end jobs, self esteem issues, and codependency that defined my early adulthood. I discovered a gift for navigating the liminal space between solid states-of-being and feel honored to meet other folks in their moments of uncertainty (like a doula for spiritual work).

As a fat, queer, neurodivergent woman, self-acceptance has been a radical act of resistance. One guided by incredible educators, mentors, therapists, plant allies, and friends that nurtured, challenged, and loved me through many difficult transitions. Because of this, with a heart full of gratitude, I want to pay it forward and share my passion for transformations, big and small.

+ WHAT DOES A CLINICAL HERBALIST ACTUALLY DO?

As a clinical herbalist, I work one on one with clients to educate them about plants, nutrition, and supportive lifestyles. This information allows my clients to make more informed choices and accomplish their health goals.

+ WHAT DOES A LIFE COACH DO?

As a life coach, I encourage and counsel clients through a variety of personal and professional concerns. My job is to support your growth by listening intently, help you identify your limiting beliefs or current obstacles, and co-create a custom plan designed to help you achieve your desired outcomes.
